To challenge and observe superior
competition, while not limiting ourselves to one opponent, is to learn different
strengths and strategies from different leaders.
Through loss we gain knowledge; in
collective form we become less vulnerable to the pitfalls of defeat and become
more confident as a rival to what was, at one time, a superior.
To swallow our pride on occasion
and acknowledge
defeat does not suggest that we have failed in a losing game. As we learn
from our mistakes and avoid those weaknesses with each new challenge; we are
nourishing our determination to succeed at higher levels by presenting ourselves
higher expectations.
